LAUREN EXPLORES PHILADELPHIA

The Hoffmans Halloween adventures
Lauren explores Philadelphia,
from fright night to cheesesteaks

Wesley Wolverine junior #99 OF Lauren Hoffman (Middletown, DE) has had quite a fall-break as illustrated by the photos below. There's a haunted prison, a corn maze, a special city "love" photo op, and a cheesesteak taste test! It all takes place in Philadelphia and its environs.

The adventures start with what could be the fright of your life this Halloween. That's the Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia. PA. It can be absolutely terrifying at night inside this 11-acre very real, though abandon, city prison.

Lauren can confirm the horror site's spine-chilling reputation.

She and her family, brother Brandon, Mom Tina, Dad Mark and her Wesley roommate Destiny -- who many will recognize as Wesley softball's #23 P Destiny Davis (Salisbury, MD) from the 2015 & 2016 fastpitch squads -- dared enter the slammer's century old crumbling cell blocks taken over this holiday season by rioting inmates and panicked guards of yesteryear.

Next is a trip though confusing, crisscrossing corn maze paths. Shown below, Lauren and her boyfriend, Taylor Reynolds, who pitched for the 2015 Wolverine baseball team, ready themselves for the convoluted Straw Bale and Corn Field Maze at Linvilla Orchards' Pumpkinland, part of a 300-acre family farm in Media, PA.

What better place to stop for a photo than Philly's XOXO statuette where Lauren and Destiny in the City of Brotherly Love show their passion for the Philadelphia Eagles just outside the awesome architecture of the famed gridiron stadium.

Can't leave Philadelphia without a bite of a cheesesteak. Better than that is the Philly Cheesesteak Tour where visitors are asked to take several bites from the cheesesteaks of different restaurants and crown one the “Best Philly Cheesesteak”. From the photo Lauren sent, we might assume that the Hoffman's chose Geno's Steaks (almost everyone's favorite!)
