MYKAYLA BIRD-CLAHAR

Just signed this week!
Mykayla Bird-Clahar brings big bat,
excellent defense as 2017 freshman

As this year's seniors graduate, the Wesley Wolverines are losing both pitching and key bats. No worry. Head Coach Juli Greep has already added for the next season a few incoming pitchers and several solid hitters, as well.

Now even more dependable lumber for the lineup has been signed!

She's Mykayla Bird-Clahar, a 1st and 3rd base player who also catches for the Cedar Creek High School Pirates, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.

"She has a strong arm, and possesses a very powerful bat that we are excited to add to our squad," said Coach Greep.

There are many news clippings found online -- a couple of which are posted here -- that praise her defensive and offensive skills. According to nj.com, Mykala was voted the second best player in the Cape Atlantic League, New Jersey.

"After the 2017 season we are graduating one of the biggest bats in the history of the Wesley College Softball program in senior Nina Marcano, so filling that hole with players like Mykayla is critical," Coach Greep noted.
