CAPITAL ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

Wesley Wolverine senior #12 P Lindsay Siok (Milford, DE)
The Wesley Wolverines play in The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC), a league of colleges and universities in the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware.

Member softball teams are
(Undergrads: 705)
(Undergrads: 1,571)
(Undergrads: 3,866)
(Undergrads: 4,320)
(Undergrads: 4,961)
York (PA)
(Undergrads: 4,537)
 Christopher Newport (Undergrads: 5,172)
Salisbury (Undergrads: 7,849)

Wesley Wolverine sophomore #8 OF Megan DiRubbio (Smyrna, DE).
On the Wolverine's 2017 schedule of 41 games, there are just 14 conference games.

For the most part, the conference games are the most challenging innings of the year against institutions -- often one or two of whom are nationally ranked -- having undergraduate enrollments considerably larger than the Wesley student body.

The first CAC contest for Wesley is against nationally ranked Christopher Newport Captains at home on DuPont Softball Field, Saturday, March 25. That will be after 18 games already played by the Wolverines.

A highly competitive stretch of the season will be Friday, March 31 through Saturday, April 15, when Wesley will battle 7 conference teams in 14 games over 16 days, 6 at home and 8 on the road.
