Three of the Wesley Wolverine hurlers are graduating this season.

Help, however, is on the way!

Hard-throwing pitcher/ utility Abbey Mayse will join the team as a Wesley College freshman next year for the 2017 (fall)- 2018 (spring) softball games. She plans to major in Elementary Education.

Abbey officially signed a letter of intent today as part of the NCAA early signing period week.

"She is a passionate player who works incredibly hard and is willing to do whatever is necessary to help benefit her team" said Head Coach Juli Greep.

News item from Abbey's HS sophomore
year found online at The Dialog website.

Abbey currently occupies the circle for the 18U Delco Diamonds Gold Team and plays high school ball for the Saint Marks Spartans (Wilmington, DE).

"She will add significant depth to our pitching staff," Coach Greep added.

"We look forward to watching her continue to grow and develop as she progresses through college."

Abbey may be no stranger to the Wesley College campus. Her mother, Laura Mayse is a Wesley Alumna and serves as Wesley's Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.
