ZOEE GARIN SIGNS!

Next season's team keeps building with diverse and impressive strengths.

Zoee hurls the softball from the left side of the circle, has speed covering outfield grass and, judging by the news clipping that's posted on the right, she also will deliver RBI at the plate!

"Zoee is a left-handed pitcher/ outfielder and attends Annville Cleona High School," said Wolverine Head Coach Juli Greep. "She is part of a high school team who is a perennial powerhouse in Lancaster-Lebanon Section Four where they are the reigning champs."

She's a multi-sport athlete, as well. Cross country -- a perfect complement for both a softball pitcher and outfielder -- is her second sport.

"Zoee does a great job of spinning the ball," Coach Greep adds. "Although she isn’t considered a power pitcher, her spin and the ball coming from the left side will add a nice dimension to our 2018 pitching staff."

This summer, Zoee will play travel ball for the PA Adrenaline.

MIRANDA KINNEY

Ninth committed recruit
Miranda Kinney, “a strong bat,
a quality arm”, signed as Wolverine

Now there are nine – officially!

Miranda Kinney from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA, signed today as the last of the nine committed Wesley Wolverine fastpitch freshman for the 2017-2018 year.

Miranda is a catcher/ first base player who currently takes the field for Pennsylvania's Liberty High Hurricanes and the Phantoms Elite 18U travel team.

Miranda Kinney
“Miranda brings with her a strong bat, a quality arm and the ability to contribute in a number of areas on the field,” affirms Wolverine Head Coach Juli Greep.

The Wolverine graduating class leaves several open positions to fill across the diamond – infield, outfield, and pitching as well as a considerable loss of lumber at the plate to drive runs home.

“Those are very big shoes to fill but we believe players like Miranda will help in the transition and bridge the gap,” noted Coach Greep.

“The 2017-2018 season should be a fun and exciting one as we welcome 9 new faces to the program.”

For those Wolverine fans who have not kept count, the nine 2017 fall freshmen – 4 from Pennsylvania, 3 from New Jersey and 2 from Maryland -- are:

2017 recruit SS/ CF Bianca Newsom (Edison, NJ)
2017 recruit P/ UT Abbey Mayse (Cecilton, MD)
2017 recruit OF Kelly Palmer (Hershey, PA)
2017 recruit P/ 1B Julianna Neel (Haddon Township, NJ)
2017 recruit P/ 1B Dori Loukopoulos (Chambersburg, PA)
2017 recruit 1B/ 3B/ C Mykayla Bird-Clahar (Egg Harbor City, NJ)
2017 recruit C/ 1B Miranda Kinney (Bethlehem PA)
2017 recruit OF Amanda Curry (Williamsport, MD)
2017 recruit P/OF Zoee Garis (Lebanon, PA)
