Marlins boast
a strong lineup

The Marlins have five starters hitting over .400 (Richardson, Howerin, Bailey, Ford, Henderson, and Archer) to power an offense who are hitting at .379 as a team, the 10th best team batting average in all of Division III across the nation.

The Marlins pitching staff currently possesses a 0.88 team ERA. Pitcher Hanna Hull has not allowed an earned run over the past 26 innings and is second in the nation with 90 strikeouts on the year.

► Howerin returns to Dover

Cassette Howerin
Marlin Cassette Howerin is a hometown gal from Dover who possesses an incredibly powerful bat along with an equally strong arm which several Delaware Wolverines can confirm, having played many Little League, high school and travel ball games with her!

Wolverines’ award-winning talent

Wolverines, of course, are not without our own stars.

Sophomore Ashley Royer, a national LS/ NFCA Player of the Week, leads the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) in hitting (.548) and RBI (24).

Senior Nina Marcano, a national FPN Payer of the Week, tops the CAC in stolen bases (10), second in triples (3) -- and the all-time all-conference leader in three-baggers -- and third in hitting (.535).

Right behind Nina in conference steals is junior Samatha Burns with eight swipes for second place.

Then, there's the conference Pitcher of the Week, senior Lindsay Siok, who is tied among CAC hurlers for first place in games won (6).

This Saturday, 3:00 PM

The Wolverines will be at it again at 3:00 PM this Saturday to face off with the Immaculata Mighty Macs (Immaculata, PA.) who launched their season last week in Clermont, FLA., at the PFX Spring Games (where the Wolverine played last season) with a tough six games schedule to earn a 2-4 W/L record.

Mighty Macs also will play the Marlins on Saturday in the 1:00 PM slot for the day.
Wesley Wolverine junior #4 IF Samantha Burns (Magnolia, DE)

Next weekend,
3/25-26

The following Saturday, March 25, the nationally tenth ranked Christopher Newport Captains arrive on the Wesley campus for a doubleheader against the Wolverines at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

What have the Captains done lately?

A lot! -- especially splitting a doubleheader with the abovementioned ranked Virginia Wesleyan Marlins last Sunday, winning in extra innings 4-3 to snap the Marlins' 16 game winning streak!

On Sunday, March 26, the Delaware Valley Aggies (Doylestown, PA ), a young, exciting team, will come to town for a doubleheader behind pitcher Jamie Stefani who set new Delaware Valley records for strikeouts in a game and a season and tied the mark for wins in a campaign. She also was chosen to the all-MAC Freedom first team.
