Softball blog back for new
Wolverine fastpitch season
The Wesley College Softball Blog is back up and running for the 2016-2017 season. Please bookmark this page and check back often for colligiate fastpitch news and information.

For the most part in the next few months through January 2017, the blog will feature softball news and videos picked up from Facebook, Twitter, college homepages, and fastpitch coaching sites. Blog items are typically news links to a more in-depth information. Many motivational softball quotes found on the web will be displayed as separate posts, as well. Almost all, if not all, posts feature a graphic of one or more Wesley Wolverine players.
● Wolverine winter projects
Also covered will be stories and photographs about winter conditioning, new equipment, fund raising projects, and the short season of fall-ball, when the news is available.
● 2017 season coverage
In February through May, coverage gets more intense. The competitive games are closely chronicled, primarily through action photos taken by the blog and, as most Wolverines fans know, the familiar sight of Jose Marcano snapping shots of batters slugging the ball at home plate and capturing exciting plays around the bases from his center field seat.
● Option for readers to react to posts
This year each blog post can be graded by visitors by checking boxes that rate the item(s) as either “fun”, “interesting”, “cool”, “inspiring” or “exciting”. Please feel free to express your positive feelings.
● Blog traffic: all fastpitch enthusiasts
Last year’s blog averaged 100+ visitors a day during the winter months, while the traffic more than doubled to 200 -250 a day during the season. Readers are thought to be players, parents, student fans, fastpitch prospects, Wesley college sports administrators as well as rival college and local club/ HS softball coaches.
● Sidebars with wealth of information
Sidebars at the blog offer a thumbnail guide to Wesley College, photos of the Wolverine players, and links to general collegiate softball news and information. A section also encourages interested softball prospects to contact Wesley College’s Head Coach Juli Greep. There are links to several articles about the great advantages of DIII sports, well worth reviewing by recruits – and Wolverine players and their families, too.
