Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic games
Here are highlights of the Wesley Wolverine players itinerary for the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic games, March 4 – 11. Players have been given more detailed written instructions. Room check every night is at 10:00 PM (though the last night, Friday, is extended to 11:00 PM).
8:00 AM: Team departs for North Myrtle Beach. Breakfast & lunch in vans; stopping only for gas. Dinner at the beach, Golden Corral (or similar).
► Sunday, March 5
9:30 AM: Team photos by pool at hotel, Avista Resort, 300 N Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach. Parents and fans are invited to snap individual and group shots of the players.
11:00 AM: Team leaves hotel for practice session and scout the Penn State-Harrisburg Lions versus Cedar Crest College Falcons @ North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, 150 Citizens Circle, Little River @ 11:30 PM, Field #3. (Wolverines will play Cedar Crest on Tuesday and the Lions in a conference doubleheader on the Harrisburg field, Friday, April 14.)
5:00 PM: Dinner @ Wild Wing Cafe at Barefoot Landing, 4898 Hwy 17 South, North Myrtle Beach.
AFTER DINNER: Grocery shopping (see “snacks for lunch” notes below.)
► Monday, March 6
9:30 AM: Wolverines versus Medaille College Mavericks.
11:30 AM: Wolverines versus Ursinus College Bears.
LUNCH: with Wesley Alumni at the field
1:30 PM: scout Mary Washington Eagles versus Regis University Pride game. (Wolverines will play the Pride on Thursday and the Eagles in a conference doubleheader on the Fredericksburg field, Saturday, April 8.)
5:30 PM: Depart for dinner at Moe’s. (DINNER OPTIONAL for those who want to go elsewhere with parents.)
► Tuesday, March 7
Players told: bring a snack for lunch between games.
9:30 AM: Wolverines versus Kings College Monarchs.
11:30 AM: Wolverines versus Cedar Crest College Falcons.
5:00 PM: Depart for dinner @ Cracker Barrel. AFTER DINNER, one van returning to hotel, while second van will head for outlets.
► Wednesday, March 8
11:30 AM: Depart for Coastal Carolina University softball stadium, 965 One Landon Loop, Conway.
LUNCH: cook out.
1:00 PM: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers versus Northern Kentucky Norse game. (NOTE: Wesley’s Assistant Coach Brooke Donovan holds the record for most games played in a Coastal Carolina softball uniform!)
PRE-DINNER: Beach Store shopping, if time available.
4:30 PM: dinner TBA.
► Thursday, March 8
Players told: bring a snack for lunch between games.
9:30 AM: Wolverines versus Regis University Pride.
11:30 AM: Wolverines versus Suny-Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.
DINNER: in rooms
EVENING OFF: at hotel (10 PM room check.)

9:30 AM: Wolverines versus Hilbert College Hawks.
11:30 AM: Wolverines versus Clarks Summit University Defenders
5:00 PM: Depart for Broadway At The Beach, 1325 Celebrity Cir, Myrtle Beach.
7:00 PM: Dinner at Senor Frog’s.
► Saturday, March 10
PLAYERS TOLD: pack yourself a lunch.
10:30 AM: pack vans.
10:45 AM: Depart for home!
